A Commentator’s nightmare lineup in the Primera Division (Wednesday Shortlist #17)

Imagine being a commentator in Spain. You’d get to work at stadiums like the Santiago Bernabeu or the Camp Nou. But on the downside you’d have to deal with many, many silly names. Honestly: Shoutout to all the spanish commentators broadcasting a 10pm game between Bilbao and Sociedad without mispronouncing 200 names per game!

Here’s my selection of the most difficult player names in La Liga: Good luck to any TV-comentator trying to pronounce all of these these correctly…

Note: Basically, the entire list could only consist of Athletic Bilbao Players, so I left them out. That’s why there might be missing a few “obvious” ones. (Seriously, I wouldn’t want to work in their fan-shop and mess up 50 prints on shirts per day…)

Goal:

Kepa Arrizabalaga (Athletic Bilbao – he’s the exception of the rule only for that striking first name for a keeper.)
